Rockman
...
I am new to the forum and will introduce Rocky later on!
Quick information; 13 year old, ex racing, thoroughbred. I have had him for a year (for my sins!)
On Friday after riding him I noticed that he seemed to be struggling to wee, he was kicking his back legs and squirting small amounts of wee out every now and again. But it wasn't like he was trying to wee it just happened involuntarily.
I left him over the weekend as he was fine in himself, eating and drinking normally and also having some normal wees! But on Tuesday he seemed worse and was kicking quite high to his belly, so I called the vet. He came and sedated Rocky and checked his penis so a bean etc is out of the question. He also did a rectal exam and couldn't find anything wrong. He's put Rocky on antibiotics just in case but said he seemed fine. Like I said he is still weeing normally as well?!
Since Friday I hadn't worked him and left him in his stable to rest as I was unsure what was wrong, but since the vet had been it seemed to stop and I didn't notice him doing it! So today I decided to lunge him to get him out of his stable and see how he went, he was fine and actually really well behaved for him normally we have bucks etc especially after being stuck in! But all he did was one massive cat leap that I have not seen him do before. Then when we have gone tonight he is doing his weird thing again!!
Does anyone have any idea what it could be as its driving me insane! Not like he can't wee because sometimes he does!
Please help me!!!
