Would it bother you and would you buy a horse like it.

I have seen a horse for sale which is jumping 1.30m at home, only problem is the stringhalt, which apparently does not affect it.

The price does reflect this, horse has winnings abroad but none here. Horse is 8.

Thoughts please

I have seen Geoff Billington (i think) riding a horse with stringhalt at a demo so prof's might be able to see through it, would probs put an amatuer off. Unless, do you maybe have a vets investigation so show it won't affect?

My very first horse had stringhalt and by god she jumped like stink!! (think that's the saying!!) stopping wasn't in her vocabulary!! One way or another she'd try to get to the other side! She was 15.1HH and I jumped her over 1.40m courses!!!! It never stopped her, and she never had days lameness!! She was a complete nut head though! and she was a windsucker!!! hahahaha and we bought her!!!!! What were we thinking!! But she was a damn good horse and cheap, vet never raised an eyebrow about it, probably because of her price.
