Strongid-P granules.....Have they discontinued this product?

Hi peeps,
Been to my local equine feed supplier to buy strongid p granules and they have stopped stocking them. Then went to buy on line and again no one seems to have them. Have they been withdrawn all together from the market?

Yes, they stopped making them at the end of last year, I believe. I managed to buy some last autumn but couldn't get hold of any at all this spring.

Wormers.co.uk seem to have them. They are down as a special offer.

Thanks both. I've checked on wormers.co.uk but can only find panacur granules not strongid p. I'm now looking at other wormers containing pyrantel.

Could you not use the syringe stuff and add that to the feed? thats what I do with my youngster

I have tried that but he's quite clever at finding it and not eating it. Granules seemed so much easier to disguise. Looks like I will have to use a syringe type. My other two are fine either way but my youngster isn't as keen.

I liked the granules for the same reason. However, if you mix the paste with water and then soak some nuts or beet in it, then hide the results in some more feed, you should be able to fool most horses.

Ah thanks for that.....I'll try that because he does get fast fibre so is used to soaked feeds.

I've cut an apple in to thick slices and used a screwdriver to make a hole in to the short end and fill that with the paste before then hand it to the horse with the hole nearest you so they are chewing it before they realise its dosed
