Greyhound is usually well behaved however this week has turned into a little sod.

Whinging at 11.30pm, we have been going down to let her out to go grass again but doesnt want that, generally pacing about during the night and generally disobediant.

So ..

We went away on holiday and left her with the outlaws who let her get away with everything ie getting on the sofa etc ... so is she in spoilt mode?

Should I change her food, does she have too much energy?

Does she want more attention?

Help

Peed off and tired of Worcestershire

5-6 years old cant quite remember, she is on a 28% protein greyhound mix.

Going to take her up the yard tonight and let her off in the school to run off some energy - see if that will sort it.

The greyhound mix is your problem, it is for greyhounds that work/race, not pets!!!

Ive always known greyhounds that are on normal pet food to be placid quiet dogs, would definitely change her diet and im sure you will see a good change.

If i had to change dogs food, then i put them on rice, chicken or scrambled eggs for a few days and then put them on the new food, or you could mix them and reduce the old food gradually

Well she was on 20% - jeez I am so thick I should have known this

poor beastie.

Thanks for the help CM I will change her food ASAP, might cook some rice tonight.

Oh your not thick at all, most people have their greyhounds on that food, what it doesnt tell you is that its really for dogs that are racing etc, as it gives energy.

I have my dog on Beta, she loves it and its not ott with the price either!! I think a 15kg bag cost me £20 or so

Will look out for that.

My OH was giving her breakfast too with weeta bix, no wonder her little brain went pop!

Thanks for the help and advise.

Have you got any pics of yours?

Here is mine

Changed her food at the weekend, also let her off in the school Friday that seems to have worked lol. Changed to a Dodson and Horrel mix psml looks more like horse feed than dog food, but the greedy git still ate it all.

Ill save my cotton wool for you I think you might be needing some with a ickle puppy lol
