stroppy mare....... what supplements work??

wondered if anyone out there can help........ ive just brought a pony and shes now just come into season yippee!! lol and shes a real mare with it, not mental, but obviously very hormonal! are there any supplements that you've used on your mares that help regulate their hormones when in season or just help calm them. thanks
 
i have the same problem. At the moment my mare is on NAF magic and sometimes Equine Americas So Kalm Plus. If that doesnt work ask your vet about regumate or they can put a marble in their unterous in the summer so that they think that they are in foal. The other one that i have heard is good is the Wedalls Herbs stroppy mare (? name)

Not sure if it's the Oestress or the new field mate, or just the fact that she's had a couple of seasons now and has calmed down.... really not sure whether or not to buy another tub...

We've tried all the mare ones on the market with little success other than regumate - until we found Coligone after she stressy colic'ed - kept her on it to reduce risk of stressy colic and no marish behaviour at all this year!

In fact - just reminded me - I need to order some!
