hi guys i have kept ponies for years and recently got back into horses. i bought a tb mare who has been badly abused. i am going back to basics and am sure when i have her respect we can work together . taking into consideration she has only lived in her new lush field with 2 new ponies one she is obsessed with!!!!!!!! i need to bond with her but i can catch her and she loves me feeding her and scratching her itchy spot but is obsessed with being with her friends and will barge about as soon as the lead rope is on...its got worse and today i managed to half brush her....we are going to section off the stable area but i need to get her attention she forgets im their .....i dont want to argue with her and she doesnt do anything nasty but this ignorance and bolshy needs to stop..........could she be in season aswell as disorientated....

That's wierd! My mum has been out of horses for 20 years and has got back into them now, and our TB she said, when i had my horses you could never tell they were in season! And nowadays you do half know. So many things have also changed since mum was in the business! Bits, tack, grooming kit. Unbelieveable.
