Has anyone on here got one of these? They are similar to the KB Albion and Elevator ones, but with a curved headpiece.

They look lovely, but I was wondering what they were like in flesh and how much they cost?

Thanks

stroud do the jefferies ir bridle which is 195 excluding reins. i want one. and they do their own made to measure which starts at 300!

They are really nice, and someone I know had a made to measure bridle (possible not the IR one) done for around the £100 mark excluding reins.

Stroud leatherwork is very good quality, I really like it. They will come out and measure up your horse too so it is very bespoke.

Worth giving them a ring and asking I guess as last time I looked the website was down. I think their IR bridle is a better design than the elevator or similar comfort bridles as the curve on the headpiece is more pronounced and they measure it so it curves round your horse's ears, which an off the peg one may not do I guess.

Our YO is supported by SS and so many horses on our yard have them - They are absolutely top quality and fantastic to look at - the leather is soft and supple when you buy it and it is just lovely ! I really want one!

Well to report back, I've phoned and asked how much they cost and wait for it...

£260 for a Snaffle bridle with reins!

But that's for the bespoke version. If you buy the Jeffries off the peg version its £195. But the Jeffries version is without reins so actually they cost about the same all in.

Hmmmmm...

Ouch! I would not be able to spend that much on a bridle, no matter how nice! I've bought saddles which cost less than that! You can guarantee your horse would do something out of character and plebby the first time you used it and end up snapping a cheekpiece or some such!

On the other hand, it is all hand measured, cut and stitched, so you are paying for someone's time and skill, so I can entirely see where the price comes from.

SS r very good - they've won loads of awards etc and really seem to know their job and care abt their customers. I've had some excellent advice from them in the past.
