Stubben Bridle

I have just recently purchased a lovely stubben bridle but always have the same problem with my horse. The cheek pieces and headpiece is purfect, the browband slightly small and the crank at the back of the noseband is too small. It is a cob size bridle but if I bought the full size then the cheek pieces and headpiece would be too big. Surely there is someone elso out there with the opposite problem, anyone for swaps?? Do you all have problems like this??

Buy a size bigger and then have the cheekpieces etc. shortened by your saddler

Is the noseband a crank? If it is you can take off the strap and get your saddler to make a bigger one and attatch it on.

I have a similar problem- my brow band is too small (my boy must have a big brain-NOT!

).

I bought a seperate brow band, from ride away- who will happily order spare bit's for you- which cost over £20 but has solved the problem. Mind you, the new browband is an XF but only give a little bit more room.

I have a 15.1hh Conn x who is cob size in everything - except for his Stubben bridles which are all full size. Maybe just odd sizes. Try not to be paranoid ;-) !!

I had the same problem - had the cheek pieces shorted - blasted nuisance!

My stubben bridle is the same, I think they are just funny sizing.
