One for all (can't be doing with a bridle for this and another for that), jump, hunt ect ect

Blimey the sky is the limit, they do them in all sorts of styles and colours. If you go to Germany the range is even bigger.

I just bought a pretty basic one and I alternative different browbands for a change now and then.

I bought one for Erik as he is extra full( it was the only one that fit him) and it is brown with a padded browband and noseband it cost £182 but well worth the money. My mums dales mare also has one in black and is plain but stylish.

Ive got a 7 year old Stubben bridle that is still in gorgeous condition. They last forever! Mine is plain havana with a clencher browband. My horse has it on in his sig, and it has been well worth the money!!

I have the stubben 3000 split head bridle and have the padded poll piece on it to stop the throat lash ridng up at the poll.

I have a very dainty 16.2 tb and it suits her so well - its padded but not in a heavy way.

Ive had mine for about 2 years and the both look tatty, waiting for new devoucoux bridles to arrive but thinking of cancelling order and getting albion bridles as they seem to be really nice!

I have 3 Stubben bridles; no idea of the model numbers but they are all padded browbands and padded noseband ones - one is a regular cavesson noseband, one is crank noseband (which I dislike with a passion) and one is a flash (which I take the flash off). Each bridle was over £200.

I would never ever buy another Stubben bridle again. I guess they are okay for people who keep them for best, but my bridles are used day in day out, and to be quite frank are ghastly. They still look nice, but the leather is horrid and the cheek straps on one bridle broke at the headband. One of the browbands broke.

For that sort of money, I think there are other nicer bridles on the market. I bought a beautiful rolled leather bridle earlier in the year and the leather on it is far superior to the Stubben leather. It cost about the same amount, but the quality far surpasses Stubben.

Sorry to give you a bad report

I won a lovely stubben bridle about 10 years ago. It's been hunting regularly for 4 seasons, it's been out in all weather conditions, it's dressaged and schooled for a few years, and I hacked out with my horse in it tonight. I wipe my tack over, but I'm not a fusspot about looking ater it - one thing I do is oil just once a year (maybe twice if it's had a really bad day)

That bridle is still in gorgeous beautiful condition, and I'd take it into a show ring tomorrow. Real quality!
