Stubben Equisoft - actual pad size is the same for all?

I’ve just splurged and my girl loved it tacking up, but I feel like the central pad / main part of the girth should come up higher on her sides? But based on their fluffy pad sizing, it seems to have the same size for all the short girths (50-85cm).

Does this mean if I exchanged for a larger girth the “main part” would stay the same and only the straps would be longer? Buckles are a hand above her elbow where they should be. I just feel like the middle pad part doesn’t come up high enough but maybe I’m being daft. Thought I’d ask before I send it back haha!

There’s a smaller pad for girths shorter than that, but above 50cm there all the same. I think the pad is designed not to come above the elbow. Here’s my horse in the long birth version

It's a sternum plate, there are girths that have a choice of size of plate, but it should not extend up the ribcage so you're probably good .

Brilliant! That makes sense! I think I just was picturing the old advice from “normal” short girths to get them close to the saddle pad to relieve pressure.
