How do you tell if it is genuine Stubben. Bought something on ebay and i'm not sure it's right. thought i would check before i complained.

Does it have any markings?

It is a martingale and there is a brass coloured stud just above the rubber stop, about the size of a small fingernail. It looks to have the letters C11D on it. It has a mark stamped on the leather about 3 inches long but is very worn, it could be the same letters.

Its a CTD martingale which is the "value" Stubben brand...generally Stubben quality and they usually have brass fitiings.Genuine Stubben will have Stubben on the headpiece Plus all the keepers will have the stubben circular logos too.

Hi

In all probability it is a Stubben piece. The C11D is actually CTD (construction technology and design) and is the symbol/strap line for the (excuse me here) cheap range produced by Stubben.

Thanks all. Wasn't listed as value but genuine Stubben. Returning it any way as just found that the prong on the belly buckle is broken and would stick into him. So have emailed seller.
