I admit defeat! Tia's current black country jumping saddles no longer fits, at all. I never found it particularly comfy, and it has gone from being an 'ok' fit, to dropping at the front and pivoting on the front of the points - no good at all.

She is still changing shape, and i'd really like a super-duper close contact single flap saddle, but it's not worth it given her age and condition. I've tried all sorts on her, and admit defeat - my yard owners very aging stubben parzival is the best fitting saddle she has ever worn - could've been made for her - and i'd use it, except same saddle is used on 4 other horses!

Where can I find good value second hand stubbens for? Ideally parzival or siegfried models, VSS or CS (jumping style) There are some on ebay, but prices are really varying - I don't mind how tattered it looks, just want one in medium-narrow (28) with a sound tree and flocking. Hopefully fairly cheap, so I can pocket the change and keep it for a better saddle for when she has filled out.

Any ideas other than ebay? YO will never part with hers, it's one of those wonder saddles that seems to be able to go on anything - it's so worn in that it's unusually comfy too, despite that typical hard stubben seat

saddles direct don't have any in the correct width. Stubben UK have some well priced CTD models - but they don't offer any kind of return.

I am ideally looking for the older, very well used kind.. at a price that reflects - but they seem to be the kind of saddle people hang on to

thanks dixie - that link looks worth investigation.

I have actually just bought an old siegfried on ebay for a very reasonable price, so fingers crossed that it fits (the measurements all sound right) - else I'll have to put it back on ebay and keep looking

I have a 28 stubben parzival for sale. It is apporx 15-20 years old but has only had about 4-5 years of use and that was mainly for shows.
