Had our first canter round on the stubble at 5.30 this morn!! Fab morning, fab ride and fab horse!! Love the stubble, doesn't last round here for long tho!!

:D :D I think you may have had a good ride this morning lol!!!
We are stuck in the middle of a town so don't get the fun of stubble fields, just loony boy racers on the road :(
xx

Me too!!!! I had a gallop in ours on Sunday before they shut the gates - I did ask permission!!!! I just love it....... :):):)

Only way I'd get to canter round the stubble here is to chase the combine! Went to the yard yesterday morning, crops both sides of the lane, went back in the evening they were just ploughing the last one!

Can't complain tho as he does leave a strip of field for us to connect a couple of good rides and let us use the tracks around the rest of the farm too.

We won't have stubble fields up here for another 2 weeks by the looks of it. Some fields are ploughed instantly and other left for the winter. I think the one right next to me will be left for a bit as they are planting tatties in it for next season.

For those using stubble please check that the grain crop was not undersown with grass seed (you should be able to see as it will already poking through). If so Please do not trash it by riding over it!!

Ideally also get permission from the farmer concerned; after all it is his land, and also possibly his liability if you come unstuck because of some bit of wire or rusty metal thats lying there.

Yes, it is essential you get permission, although it sounds like most people have stubble fields on the yard they are on.

Stubble or no stubble it is still trespassing if you don't have permission!
