Bit of advice needed...

My mare hates being out of her stable. First of she will refuse to come out the stable, when I finally get her out she is so irritable until she can go back in. After that shes back in shes fine. Other times she will walk out fine.

Do I keep her in when she wants, or shall I make her stay out until its time to go back in. She doesn't get highly strung or miserable staying in. I have been forcing her out but I don't want to upset her. The only problem is she cribs. She cribs whether shes in the stable, in the field anywhere!

Thanks

Grass, Hay, Water, Company.

She has it all, her and Cash get on extremely well. He knows his place, there is no arguing over food or anything really.

Some horses don't like to come out if it's cold, wet or windy. What is she like in the summer?

In the summer I change their grazing, so they only have a field shelter. Don't really put them in during the summer unless something is wrong.

This morning it was quite fine with us. Not windy, was a bit nippy but she was nice and toasty under her rug.
