Today has been a bit of a 'why did i bother getting out of bed day!' At quatre past 6 this morning in the pouring rain injured one has decided on a new game! Its called 'root myself to the ground so i dont have to work!' Incidently i left him out in the rain and stood undercover until he changed his mind!! He gets to the point on the yard near to the walker and just roots himself and refuses to move, hes such a stubborn mule he only goes on it on a low level for 15 minutes! You would think he would be happy to finally be allowed out of his box!!! So that was strike 1 for me and horses!!

Strike 2 came this evening when my sister asked me to fetch hers in, the four at home go out in pairs in two fields... Well they had all had a whale of time.... Smashing all bar 1 of the 7 paddocks!!!! Thankfully they only smashed into other fields and didnt get loose and run a riot!

Strike 3 was having to get them in! As just for funses they had each put themselves in one paddock que four trips down the field where they all then threw a spako fit when their usual partner left them! They did it to themselves!! Stupid animals!!!!

And now i have to go fix the fencing in the dark... Ahhhhhhhhh rant over im sure ill love them all again tomorrow!!!

It's the weather, my horses were complete lunatics to bring in this evening. My 26 year old TB galloped flat out up to the gate, bucked, reared and was so stupid, I went back up to the stables and put a hat and gloves on before I was prepared to try to bring him in. The WB was pretty silly and spooky too, normally they are both well mannered and sensible. I spent the best part of an hour getting the mud off them and drying the sweat off them, but 10 minutes after they'd come in the storm arrived. I think they'd sensed it coming!

If I may suggest, go out with a video to film them messing around as I'm sure it would go down very well if posted on here. You will be guaranteeing that they will all stand patiently and let themselves be led quietly to the stable.

Is it really the time of year - do they know spring is coming!!!!!LOL

I got home tonight to silence, and no eyes peering at me over the fence..........Oh ******, went and found a head collar, and walked up the lane,(its a bridelway/dead end) and found two snacking in my neighbours hay barn, and the third charged down the lane, she'd obviiously been in their garden Oooops

My phone started ringing (neighbour) so I put in on silent collected them all up and slunk off back down home - I'll do the grovelling/apologising in the morning

Hahah ill get some video when the injured one returns and joins them in the paddock that will be a fun one!! Funnily enough ive never caught them in the act i have had to rescue my sisters WB when i came home at lunch and found him stuck half over the fence! He's always the ringleader!!!!

and i bet once they were done they all stood and looked as if butter wouldn't melt in their mouth

Of course they were all looking at me like can we come in now please :)

Ohhhhh god i hate that!!! The last time this lot escape (about a month ago) i was walking up the road headcollar in hand off to find them when i was met on the corner by 4 horses being led by the police!!! I apologised lots and lots!! They thought it was amusing especially when they learnt the name of my mums pony - copper! They couldnt stop laughing and saying copper was caught by a copper!!! We love then all really!!!!
