Helloo,
I have a dilema, I have just started an extended diploma in horse management. Im meant to wear long boots for the competitions and for assesments, or short boots with matching chaps i.e ariat boots and chaps together.
However, I have really short stubby calf muscles and short legs! I ordered some saxon leather long riding boots, in a short x wide but they still dont fit round my calf muscle and are to long on the back of my leg and dig into my knee.
I dont have a massive budget, and need them fairly soon so cant spend ages saving up so anyone with any ideas they would be greatly apprieciated.
Thanks!

My other half got some ariat chaps for his HUGEEEEE calves (and I mean Huge with a capital H!). They do them in calf width and height so you can get them in exactly the right size.

You might be able to find them on the internet and measure yourself, but I'd probably go to a saddler. xxxx

I have this problem. I'm a size 12 but have to buy XL riding boots all the time, bloody depressing!

Stylaways have some good long leather boots for £55 or something, they aren't too long (i'm 5'4) and are really roomy.

I bought some boots which didn't fit - luckily a friend of mine is a saddler so she's take the zip out and has put in an elasticated panel. Some of the boots don't have them so putting one in should make them fit - might be worth asking a local saddler.

Mine are the Dublin Aristocrat Field boots - I couldn't bear to send them back as I could find many others in this country!
