Stud book number, is she graded?

Thinking of breeding from my mare so was thinking of getting her graded, when I have looked in her passport tonight she already has a stud book number, would that mean she has already been graded? Sorry for the novice question very new to breeding and trying to get it right so any help be appreciated 😊

Every horse horse registered will have a stud book number . Very unlikely she is graded you would need to contact the studbook or sometimes its stamped in the passport

If you want to grade her with the SHB(GB), good luck. I gave up trying to get my mare to a grading, as there are very few around the country. Your mare would have to be of a very good standard, or produced some performing offspring to be worth going through a grading process.
