Stud girth length?

Hi,

i need to buy a stud girth as my daughter has started jumping on grass using studs.

the current girth is 42" and is leather and elasticated at 1 end.

the stud girth we are looking at is elasticated both ends.

will we need to buy a shorter one to allow for the extra elastic?

We didn't when we bought ours, the elastic takes up any slack when you tighten it. Don't be tempted to over tighten the girth though as this can easily happen with the elastic.
