stud girth

hi have just bought a stud girth for my horse
my breast plate does n't have a clip on the end to attach to the d ring, however there is another bit on the girth which looks like i could attach the martingale to , but bis that what it's really for????????

Which make is it do you have a picture of it ?

There's usually a ring which I put the martingale through then there's a strap and buckle to attach it to

Use the ring to then attach draw reins if you need to
