Been jumping my horse recently and looking to do our first class soon. Loose jumped him last night and just didn't realise how much he tucks up in front (brill) so would really like a stud guard to protect him!! Alot of the ones I've seen appear to be very stiff and I'm a bit worried about rubs. Please could I have suggestions for good ones in black with elastic a both ends. Thank you.

i too have a comfort zone, and love it, light weight, and easy to wash in a machine

IF and a big IF you have any old knackered saddles with plain solid flaps lying around that are no good except for the scrap heap, you can cut the flaps off the saddle put the straight edges together so they are over lapping and get a saddler to sew them together into one piece you can make your own stud guards.I used to make loads of cheap stud guards this way. All you need then is to get the saddler to punch a large trace end punch in either end to put the girth through to hold it on and bob's your uncle, the leather off of old saddles is usually well worn in and soft too.
Hope this has given you some ideas, Oz
