Just wanting a bit of advice. i do dressage, sj and occasional xc on my horse. Just wanting a bit of advice on studs. so far i have a set of small conicle studs from supastuds (http://www.supastuds.com/details_22.html). I understand these are best for hard ground. just to check that these would be appropriate for all 3 disiplines? i know i should consider getting some for softer ground, but would it be wise to take a dome shaped stud xc with the varying ground? and any other recommendations to which studs i should use?

Also stud girths, my horse really dangles his legs infront, and have been told by a lot of people that i wouldnt need a stud girth, but im thinking better safe than sorry? i wouldnt be jumping any bigger than 90cms. does anyone have any recommendations on good stud girths that wont break the bank?!

Sorry for all the questions

I do SJ and ALWAYS wear a stud girth on my horse, doesn´t matter if wearing studs or not, jumping or not.
imo think it's more comfortable for the horse as well.
Very wise what you said: "better safe than sorry"
This is mine:

Hope I was helpful

Yeah, I generally use the pointy studs for all 3 disiplines. I rarely use the dome ones, its not often THAT wet and if I do I only use them in the hinds. I dont like too big ones in the fronts because I dont like them stopping dead on the fronts during XC when coming off drops etc. They need a little bit of slippage if need be or they can jar something IMO.

Id always use a stud girth no matter how dangly in front your horse is. I use a Comfort Zone one which is excellent, a nice modern type of girth which fits and washes well:
