I have been thinking for a while about doing a study at home couse i dont want to do anything to complicated, just something to broaden my arisons maybe horse nutrition etc. I,ve seen some advertised in horsey mags but a little dubious about enquiring incase they are for younger people who want to make careers out of them and i just want to learn for myself and my horses. Want i need to know is are they expensive and are they for a 40ish year old woman who is not that clever on computers?

i know a few people who have done the BHS horse owners courses which mite interest you.... they were about 40ish when they did them

I am currently studying for a degree from home with the Open University, it is a great experience and I thoroughly recommend it (yes, I work for the OU but not on commission!) They don't offer any equine courses unfortunately, but there are lots of other fascinating subjects which you can mix and match; so far I have taken social sciences, politics, finance and philosophy-law next year hopefully

. If you are on a low income you can get financial support so long as you don't have a degree already!

I am doing a Diploma in Equine Science and would really recommend it.
as long as you don't mind doing it yourself and you have to be motivated!
