Stumbling

Evertime I gow out for a hack my 27 year old stumbles. I cant actually see what his legs do but I feel a sudden dip downwards. He does not fall, just jolts. Any ideas? Had recent coffin joint imbalance but vet has said to keep going, in walk only.

I know the vet said keep him walking but maybe its time to hang up his boots and let him use the field or you could put him on bute are you letting him tip on the forehand because your trying to take it easy with him.

I'd retire him from riding personally and take him out for in hand walks. Maybe see how he is again when the weather warms up? The cold and damp may be making any condition worse.

Yep, I'd be inclined to agree with the other posters who say perhaps time to hang up his boots.
