Domi is supposed to be a light hack now, following various lameness problems. he is now shod with pads under his shoes to avoid concussion, and he isnt supposed to trot. So the wretched stupid horse decides to bounce around with my son on him today on a hack. I removed my son, and went back to the yard but got on Domi myself and he was exactly the same, bouncing sideways, trying to trot sideways and generally being a loon. Doesnt he know he is supposed to be a light hack??? I dread to think what effect all that leaping around will have had on him. Every one at the yard just laughed and said that he was obviously feeling better. Yeah, great....

Stupid horse! after all the effort I put in to his care he has to go and sabotage himself like that. I should have known he was in that mood when he was bombing around the field this morning...

Horses hey!

Can I ask what kind of pads do you have him shod with? My farrier has suggested gel pads for my boy as he suffers from concussion when the ground is hard and same down with concussive laminitis last year.
