Pointless post, but I am bored!

How many saddles do you have for one horse?

I have to admit that currently I have two, both Albions (only because the ones that fit me and him are the most blumming expensive!) One jumping K2 and a Lux dressage. Am investing in a Legend dressage saddle too as don;t like getting the suede wet in this blumming weather!

i have one gp saddle, and want a dressage one for christmas!

want them for eventing:D

the gp is a collegiate and on the lookout for a 2nd hand dressage one.

i have 1 gp but it was made to measure 4 another horse of mine (he came with it when i brought him) an it was very much modeled on a dressage saddle so i am looking 4 a jumping saddle ... saddler told me if i carry on eventing in that saddle i will kill myself!

I have a working hunter saddle that fits both my cobs. I also have western saddle that fits both cobs... so 2 saddls that fit both horses

I have one saddle that Pip and Ginga. Nice english leather quite straight cut GP saddle, but it is about 10 years old. They share it. I have one that I got for my 2nd pony for the team, A nice show pony saddle, very uncomfy but usable. Paddy used P+G's saddle, and Teddy the littleies one. Ajay has a felt pad or the littles one.

So i have 2 saddles for 10 ponies. 7 of whome are in proper work, and the other 3 just w/e happy hackers.

I have 20 odd saddles. No horse has its own saddles, it wears the one that fits it best. I thought it was normal to have several so that you always have a saddle that fits as the horse changes shape through out the year

YL - never heard of that before, but personally I wouldn't like to use a saddle that hadn't been seen by a saddler so chopping and changing just because I had enough saddles to do so wouldn't be right IMO. Not suggesting you don't get them seen by a saddler though, as you didn't say!

Maiden has two saddles, one dressage and one GP. I love dressage saddles so always have to have one to school in (I do a lot of dressage too), but I can't jump in dressage saddles so have a GP for that. I want to save up for a Wow though when I get my new horse, and get dressage and GP or jump flaps - one saddle, multiple uses.
Of course, I can't actually ride Maiden now so technically I have two saddles and *no* horse...

Previously I had five saddles for three horses (16.1 / 16.3 / 17.1), two with a GP / Jumping and One with Just a GP. Traded them in and invested in a Treeless saddle. Best Investment I made, Feel confided in Schooling hacking and Hunting in it, Also saves carting around a bootful of kit.!!

I have 4, for one horse. Jump, GP, dressage and side saddle. Too many I know, plus had a tidy up tack room the other day and realised I have 7 bridles. Who needs 7?! the stuff you collect over the years!

- My Barnsby VSD (which I use most), Bates leather Jessica Dressage saddle, Wintec GP for when it's raining and a Treeless (Torsion) which I don't use!!!

Actually, I thought what she said made alot of sense. I'm sure some people stick with the one saddle, originally fitted by a saddler, and never think to change it as the horse changes shape.
As for me ... I had to fit PF's saddle myself as saddlers don't fit saddles. I'm confident her saddle fits very well (I did take the trouble to read up on fitting)

I have a wintec 500 GP for everyday/jumping and an ideal working hunter for showing and dressage (its my only xmas present this year) so excited to get it

2- wintec vsd for messy stuff- raining, mud, hacking, training for stuff and jumping.

ideal VSD showing and when its not horrible out

getting a jumping saddle soon though probs a wintec, I dont jump enough seriously to go for an expensive one

I have a GP and a dressage one for my grey. And a GP for my Welshie, would love a jumping saddle for him but sadly he's SO hard to fit as he's a very wide barrel shape! Also have 2 other GP's for ponies.

Gem has two - one dressage, one jumping. Ru has one jumping as he's going to change a lot in the next few years so no point getting another yet.
