Stupid question but what are these called?

The brackets that hold a bar either accross a barn/stable door or a fence rail accross a gap?

I am putting up some post and rail and want to put three removable rails between two posts but can't find the brackets to hold the rails anywhere. Are they called something else?

I have been going dizzy looking at diy sites trying to find them!

They are often sold as straight sheets of metal, which you - or in my case anybody BUT me - shapes into the bracket shape required. I think all DIY shops sell these strips. You can also use them to mend/brace broken rails, by putting a couple on either side of the rail, bridging the break.
