Do vets do teeth (regular check up and File!) or does it have to be an equine dentist?

Thanks sorry for being thick!! Have always had dentist but Oscar is due and vet is comin out next week anyway, so seems a shame to pay two call outs if I dont have to!!

yes of course they do! vets were doing teeth before equine dentists were invented

I get the vet to do it, from memory its around £60 or £70 including the sedative based on a shared call out charge......

My vet does me horses teeth, never had a problem.
Far better IMO that the "dentist" who does some of the other horses on the yard.
