Stupid stupid F&M!!

Just had a call to take my horse to the Monty Roberts show at Merrsit wood tomorrow but of course can't go as we are right in the middle of the F&M zone.

Poor you! I know how you feel, I keep my horse at a college and we are not allowed out anywhere and we are not even in the F&M zone! It's fustrating but i would hate for the college to get it!

Have you phoned DEFRA....as i too live around your neck of the woods, also off to see monty tomorrow night, and when i last spoke to DEFRA we are fine to move live stock around. has been that way for a week or two now. Merrist wood might not have called you if there was any doubt ??

According to the website animal movement inside the protection zone is still banned. Our YO spent all day to get them to agree that she could take the trailer out of the yard (empty) in order to get hay & feed.

What an inconvenience for you...never mind for those poor farmers who will have to slaughter all of their stock and lose their livelihoods

There will be other MR demos, get over it. Sorry but posts like this make me mad, there are people out there losing their entire herds of cattle.

according to an update someone put on Saddle-up the other day horses can now be moved freely within the protection zone as long as they're not kept on premises with suceptible animals. those kept on farms still need to apply for a license.
