Ok so really stupid tape wormer questions... As horse may need wormer for tapeworms and yard normally does it.

Does horse need testing for the tape worms first, or can I just worm away? Secondly, if so I'm guessing that if she's healthy, and hasn't gone unwormed in the past, and that this wont cause a problem.

Unsure of what was last wormed with.

If you are unsure of her worming history, a 5 day course of Panacur Guard, followed by a double dose of Pyratape P or Strongid P 2 weeks later is the safest option.

The horse has previously been wormed on a regular basis... Last time was end of jan. just don't know with what!

1) no need to test first, worm away!
2) shouldn't be any problems

for tapes you need a double dose of pyrantel emboate (strongid/pyratape) or single of praziquantel (equitape/equest pramox/equimax)
