Already posted in SB but on second thoughts figured it may be better in here. x
Welll the morning started off quite foggy and i was feeling a little bleurgh, got to the yard and one of the other liveries was there, she has a PSG gelding wo i had previously expressed an interest in, anyhowww she has offered me a share in him! so mucked fish out and went home to get changed so i could come back and ride. By this point the fog had lifted and it was lush outside. So got on him, and started off slowly just seeing how much i could push, well he just got better and better, everything is there just a little rusty so by the end of the session i had a big powerfiull warmblood under me giving expressive changes and decent canter pirras etc.
Owner very happy, any way not gona say much more about him in case it doesnt go ahead, but he would do YR!
so off into town to do jobs for dad, and do some shopping.
Then back to the yard to ride dol, and a 4 year old iv jusrt started to ride.
My friend came down as she has never seen dol work and wanted to check out our facilities, so dragged D out and bandaged and tacked up.
Got on and started work as normal, all fine, soft, supple and SOUND. So did a couple of changes on each rein, then decided to play a little with the tempis, 4's. Perfect, 3's Perfect, so across the diagonal, and ask for 2's. Perfect!
I was so pleased and it was so great to be back doing these thing espec since 5 weeks ago, i wandered whether id ever get bak on her again.
SO finish her and wash her off and put her away, then onto the 4 year old.
He's only 15.2 and very baby ish as technically hes still 3 so taking it slowly but is really very lovely!
so get on him, and warm him up, no spooking and very attentive, so i think uh oh hel go in a minute.
NOPE!!
FOr the entire time he worked briliantly, just starting a little bit of shoulder fore and some moving away from the leg, hes so intelligent he picks it all up!
SO do half an hour of fab work on him and decide to finish it on that note, i want him to learn when hes good he can go in, and i dont want to put too much pressure on young limbs.
So iv had 3 of them out today, all have behaved perfectly and it was so warm outside!
Remembered why i love this sport.
Sorry very self indulgent just wanted to share!
Hope you've all had just a good a day!
xx
