Bit of a self indulgence pointless post but I felt like I just had to write this down.
I've had an awful couple of years horse-wise (and health-wise) and almost gave up riding last year. I decided to have one last shot at finding a suitable mount and luckily found the horse of my dreams. He is a 15.2hh piebald welsh D x who is just so much fun and easy to be with (and extremely handsome too). He has reminded me what it is all about and looked after me while I recovered from surgery. We did a pleasure ride last year end even went Autumn hunting in October.
Anyway, we have started to have some lessons with a fab local instructor and this morning was just perfect. He behaved like a total gentleman and we got everything right. My instructor was over the moon and says she can see a real difference in only a couple of weeks. We were working as a team.
We will never be olympic contenders but I really do love my horse and thank my lucky stars that I found him.
