I've been away for two weeks, and when I came home, i found that one of my shetlands has started cribbing ~
They're all 12+, never cribbed before, but suddenly one of them is gnawing the fence everywhere!

Not sure which one of them it is, as I say the lady who looked after them hasnt' noticed.

Any ideas?

Lack of fibre in the diet (give hay or hi fi haylage or speedibeet), vit/min deficiency (give supplement), stress causing gastric ulcer (remove stressor), possible worm burden (worm for small redworm and tapeworm), sharp teeth (rasp 'em)
Any good?

Are you sure its really cribbing and not just chewing/eating wood? If its chewing try giving it a salt/mineral lick as there could be a mineral deficiency. Also its might be more interesting to the ponu than chewing your fencing!
