My 15 yo cob mare has suddenly developed very sore ears. About two weeks ago she became a little bit less willing to have them handled, more so right then left, I suspected poll tension, she then had physio who sorted all that out, nothing of note. I've been monitoring them closely, but was away for the past few days and today they are significantly more painful. She's very very reluctant to have them handled, despite being the stoic type. I can't see anything major other then a few small scabs inside the ears. She also seems to have lost a bit of the hair inside the ears.
Has anyone had experience with this before?
Should I get the vet out?
She seems totally fine jn herself otherwise, happy as once bridle/headcollar is on, but hate ti see her in pain
Thanks for anyone that even managed to read this far!
