Has anyone had Sue Carson out to check saddle/ fit saddle/ bought a saddle from her. I am thinking of getting her out to check my saddle and try one of hers. Anyone had anything to do with her saddles?
Thanks

How does your horse go in it. Did you notice a difference?
Why are you selling? What model is it? What size seat and tree is it?
and how much?
PM me if you prefer.

Funnily enough the fitter was here yesterday! We bought a saddle off ebay and she fitted it. The best bit of the news was it wasn't an extra wide tree as advertised on ebay but a medium wide, so no wonder it fitted our horses so well.
They are incredibly thorough, measure the horse minutely from weight to lots of templates, then they adjust the saddle to the template, then they adjust the four air bags in it, which should them only need adjustment if your horse changes shape.
You are watched riding and if necessary more adjustments are made and the fitter who comes here is not only a damn good dressage rider but went round Badminton or Burghley several times, so she really does know her stuff. The horse she fitted here was the grand daughter of one she had competed abroad with, isn't it a small world?
We have two, the latest dressage one plus the Tempo, and my husband who changes saddles like other people change cars insists this is his final dressage saddle, he loves it. They put you in the correct position, and that squishy feel of the underneath means the horses love them too.
I balked at the price believe me but that old saying you get what you pay for is true, the saddles really are the best we've ever ridden in...

Yes, we had Sue out three years ago - two of us bought jumping saddles (that she designed and made to our chosen spec) and one had a dressage saddle. She did a great job, and the saddles are all much loved and incredibly useful as they can fit more than one horse (if the air is altered). They see our neddies through all shape changes and I cannot recommend them highly enough - the horses all go well in them and they are very comfy. I expect the price has gone up as Sue has become better known, but still worth the money I should have thought.

I too can only say good things about Sue Carson saddles. The saddle fitter that came to fit a friends horse was absolutely meticulous about every detail.

The problem of a saddle slipping back after jumping a course has now dissapeared entirely. I'm saving up for one of my own now - keep hinting about it to my other half just incase he feels generous at christmas.
