The Vet Hospital in Germany phoned me last night. Sugababe is still recovering well. She leaves them today to return to the stud we had her at with her mum. She is still on antibiotics and will still need her wound dressed daily. The stitches I gather will come out next week.
The vet said the only concern would be in a couple of weeks to see how the wound it healing as sometimes it can weaken, although she is not expecting this to happen.
Cant believe it was a week ago today that all this started, but "touch wood" the filly is on the mend although she will have her slight disability for the rest of her life.
Its really amazing that horses are such big animals yet really are quite vunerable creatures.
