What sugar beet do you feed (if any) i used to feed the speedibeet but since its almost twice the price of sugarbeet i stopped it and tried the nuts which i much preferred. Okay they take alot longer to soak but i still prefer them. I bought some shreds to try, a huge sack for £7, used them yesterday and hate them :( they just floated to the top of the water and its kinda hard to gage how much you need to soak (seems alot more need soaking than the pellets/nut form.
They also looked like they rinsed alot cleaner than the pellets?? as soon as this sack is finished am back on the pellets!!

Anyone else feed shreds? if so why?
Thanks

Some one at my yard feeds them,(going to have trouble when she runs out) just preps as you would do normal sugarbeet , she prefers it, less sugar

You do need to soak more because they're less compressed that the pellets. If you weigh a scoop of your normal sugar beet and then weigh a scoop of them, you should be able to figure out how much to soak quite easily.

Also, try using lukewarm water rather than cold. They seem to soak better with it.
