Sugar free polos for laminitis prone ponies?

I've wondered that myself as I try to avoid adding sugar to the diet of our two, in the end I decided against it as humans are advised not to go mad with them because of the laxative effect of the sugar substitute used. I'm sure you'd need to feed millions to get an effect on a horse but I think I'll avoid them anyway!

For a low sugar treat I got a bag of spillers high fibre cubes (think about 8% sugar) and feed a couple as a treat. They go down v well, def not seen as a diet treat from the horses, are cheap for me and aren't full of sugar - everyone's a winner!
