chondroitn and glucosamine I believe is the only supplement thats clinically proven as a prevention for and treatment for arthritis! Never used it myself - just read about it! and it is contained naturally in the body and helps to replace the cartilage in the joints!

My friends husband takes human cortaflex and although it's not cheap, he swears by it. I take the Holland and Barrett Chondroitin and Glucosamine, but the thing is with arthritis, is that it is cyclical, so goes off for weeks at a time anyway, so you are never sure if the tablets helped or not.

I wasnt thinking arthritis, I was thinking old injurys and general riding wear and tear but saying that I suppose they all link in to getting arthritis in the future.
I'm not old, 32 but I am lame in the mornings when I get out of bed and again when I get off from riding where my ankles have stiffened up.

I was working with playgroups and nurseries and really having trouble sitting on tiny chairs and standing up afterwards. A colleague recommended 7 Seas Jointcare, with glucosamine and chondroitin. She said she gets supermarket's similar own brand and it would probably take about a month to be effective. I tried the 7 seas and it worked in 2 days!!. I am also much more comfortable when riding and in general. I had stiffened up when recovering from a broken ankle and not really improved in the months afterwards, now ankles, knees and hips are so much better. I recommend it to every-one!

Human Superflex by NAF brilliant stuff, i was aching so much before i started this, after riding 3 horses full time job etc!

Has DEFINATELY helped. 19 quid for 120capsules i think, but well worth it. I order mine from my feedstore
