I advertised my Ifor Williams trailer in H+H 2 weeks ago - at a good price, and was v surprised to receive no enquiries at all.... I have recently moved house, so have yet to find local tack shops/feed merchants etc to put For Sale cards....any other suggestions?
I also want to sell my towing vehicle (a Mitsubishi Shogun) as I do v high mileage. It is great for towing - had both car and trailer from new and regularly serviced - should I try Auto Trader for the car?? any experience of selling trailers the same way? e-bay?? being a bit of a girl about this, so any/all suggestions gratefully received....

Don't want to be taken for a mug and my local garage have advised me to sell it privately rather than chop it in for another car.

Cheers,

Catherine

Auto-trader for the car. not sure if they have a section for trailers. local paper for the trailer maybe, as long as it's very securely fixed where it is!

might be worth trying ebay too, i haven't done this, but lots of people seem to! good luck.

Ifor Williams seem to go for quite realistic prices on ebay, just set you buyer preferences to filter out those with neg feedback. Not so good for cars though, they make very little and you are best off with private ads in tack shops, etc.

I put a trailer on Horsemart & it sold in 3 days & had loads of calls on it..... as for the car Autotrader possibly but there are alot of 4x4s out there for sale at the moment.

I sold my trailer in the local free adds, it went in 24 hours, I had loooooads of calls, it was in the spring though - this not the best time of year to be selling things (especialy not a house grrr)
