Looking to start eventing a baby around July/August in the North. I've had a break from competing and I'm not sure what the courses are like now.
I've looked at the course descriptions but still not sure where to plump for. I want really inviting straightforward courses so that she can have a lovely first experience.
Any suggestions?

Not sure how far north you mean but Stafford is great as is hexham. Richmond is straightforward to

I also vote for Richmond, lots of brushes & the like, but I guess May is too soon and mid August may be too late for you!! Both Skipton & Hexham have some steepish hills - need to be fit and Cumwhinton has lots of wooden animals so perhaps not a great first timer.

I personally didn't like Hunwick. The dressage arenas were rutty and you couldn't see one jump from the next on the XC. Just a personal viewpoint.

from what people have said to me hunwick and beckwithsahw werent great first timers courses last year! but in eventing mag it does say that they will make them easier for this year.
