I am meant to be at Howden Way training today. 1 hr SJ, 1 hr classroom, 1 hr XC, with awesome trainers.

But I can't close my fist because of a hand injury, so can'tt hold the rein with my right hand,

I have practiced 1 handed riding/leg steering and written War and Peace on natural horsemanship with my day off instead. But it is still only lunchtime. What a waste of a much wanted day off. I could do housework I suppose....

So sorry AE, absolutely understand your frustration and hope you get well very soon.
I have some sort of auto immune problem at the moment and tests have shown up what it’s not but NOT what it IS! Can’t wait to be back to normal, it’s interfering with everything!!

Well I went for a run and rolled my ankle. Half way round, in the middle of nowhere, in the pouring rain. That hasn’t improved my sulk 🙄😏

My ankle twin! 😛 I’ve always said running is dangerous!
Seriously, hope it’s ok.

I’m a bit sulky this week if I’m honest. I miss the days when having my foot in a stirrup didn’t feel like someone was setting my ankle alight.

You could try a martingale stop on the reins, gaffer taped into a tactical position? That way you don't even need to be able to close your fist fully :)

That ankle looks horrible, definitely don't do any housework on it. I hope it's feeling better in the morning.

on the bright side, at least you’ve got a valid reason not to resort to housework?!

hope you’re feeling better soon and can get out to something to raise your spirits!
