Hi,

I am working in Italy this summer and I am looking for some boots which will be suitable for this. Temperatures ride to 40 degrees and I can't really afford to ship a pair out if I buy the wrong ones!

My checklist is:

Cool
Comfortable
Durable
Lightweight
Suitable for riding and yard chores
No more than £75

So far I have found the Mountain Horse Easy Rider Pro boots which look quite good.

Does anyone have any and are they any good?

Are there any other boots which might be suitable?

Thanks in advance!!

Would you find joddie boots and gaitors cooler then full riding boots?

Sorry not much help but have a fab time, sounds exciting. :)

Yes, long boots would be far too warm (and I would end up with ghostly white legs!)

Rideaway describes the boot category I am looking at as "Trainers" and they look more like walking boots than enything else. The only real difference is that they have a heel suitable for riding in.

I am going to work as a groom at a "horsey holiday" place in Tuscany. The owner of it is La Fiaba on here. I am incredibly excited, I booked my tickets the other day!

Oh and thanks for the reccommendation, going to look at them now :)

Sounds very exciting! :D Very jealous, hope to see lots of piccies.

;) Very unlikely as my camera "skills" are so poor that 80% of the time I forget my camera, 15% of the time I remember it and forget the betteries and the remaining 5% of the time the camera is fully functioning and I take 3 photos then forget I have the camera!

I'll try, but I can't promise anything ;)
