Hi does anyone clip there Ponies in the Summer here in the UK
Asking as I have a 14.2 TB x Welsh, not major thick coat, but certainly not like my TB that has practically no hair during the summer.
If I ride the pony on the gallops just walk & trot for half hour he can come back v wet & sweaty, all under the saddle, girth area v wet indeed, and also on his neck, and butt area.
So am wondering would it be kinder to clip him out even in the summer months ?
Hes 19 years old, no cushings as I had him tested.
Any thoughts, comments, advice, please.
