All my jods are the knitted jersey/cotton type. They are just too hot in this weather. Can someone please recommend a lightweight, cooler pair that are not too expensive.

It's cheating & you may not find them as comfortable as I do but I wear leggings.
You can get a decent pair for about £4 from George @ ASDA.
I don't find the seams annoying as they aren't at all thick or bulky so it might be worth a try

Tescos ones are actually OK. About £17. The cheap Dublin ones are good as well. I've ridden in leggings as well and they are a cheap alternative which do the job fine.

Leggings are a good idea, I used to ride in them years ago and had forgotten!!

My kids wear the Tesco ones and as well as being good for the summer they are tough too! Infact my SD wore hers to the local annual agri show this weekend in her inhand classes and they looked as smart as the other competitors!
