I kept horse in last night [out 24/7], it was raining and windy, but today, he had a runny nose and when lunged he blew a big yellow snot, I cancelled tomorrows lesson, but put him out with a light rug on as it is raining but not very cold.
Will this be a summer cold, there is not much shelter in the field, but he seemed fine yesterday when I brought him in, does not look unwell. I suppose I should have taken his temperature.

There are viruses about at the moment, mine have just caught a cough/snot virus from a large yard. The first one shook it off within a week the second one still has it;l I will get the vet if it doesn't clear up soon. If the snot is yellow or green that could mean a bacterial infection so may need antibiotics.

Yes, the yard is small and pretty much closed, he was fine the next day, normal nose.
Weather is similar tonight[rain forecast] so I put a light rug on tonight as there is no shelter and it can be a bit windy.
