My mare has developed summer sores (habronemiasis) on her mouth, one on each side. Has anyone had any experience of this?

Is she imported? It's unusual in horses that haven't been abroad. Have larvae been identified in the lesions?
I have treated it using a mix of ivermectin and steroid applied topically and find this clears it up quickly, but your vet may have a different way of dealing with it.
