Not too great - 8 faults in 90cm and 8 faults in 1m. On bright side Summerhouse was like grease lightening compared to normal!! (I was intended to do a 2ft9", but they were running fast!!)
However this was the younger horse and he was overjumping and got himself in a pickle. Need to do more grid work and get him more forward thinking and build his confidence.
whats it like there by the way? am thinking about going next Tuesday but never been before (even though its only about 45 minutes away!)...? is it well ran? up to height etc?
sorry for hijacking the post
It's always dead on height. Annoying thing is sometimes they don't push the wings in, so the pole is only held on by and inch or so, one tap and you'll have the pole.
They can be slow - however depends on how many professionals turn up for BSJA. Last time I was there the BN took 2 hours (sunday), however apparently on a tuesday its much better.
The warm up isn't too bad if you can use the indoor one. They have to be the slowest people in the world for changing the course though. Also they are naughty over the entry fees, they put it up for the bigger classes even though the prize money is the same or in the case of unaff non existant.
It is a nice venue.. ideally located next to the motorway and a nice sized arena (outside - never jumped indoors). However the collecting ring is tiny, and they take forever to build courses plus I dont think there related distances are always right - always seem to not one thing or the other... your ok if your on something that can shorten like my grey, but unlike Blaze as we tend to get in a pickle!!!!
Having said that the people there are really nice and its a good location!!
I'm not going now, the girl whose horse I was supposed to be seeing has now arranged for other people to also try it at the same time so I told her to go with them instead of me and call me back if it doesn't work out.
