I think my lab is getting a sunburnt nose! Around the edge of it (next to the hair) the skin is white and flakey, and although not sore I'm fairly sure it's sunburn as it's never come up before?

I'm guessing I can't just slap suncream on her nose? Any tips? She has access to shade etc but I'm worried she will do damage!

I use a sunblock I got for the horses.
I think a lot of people use the stick sunblocks you rub on, on their dogs. Less greasy and not as noticeable

One of mine has a pink nose so I have been putting it on these last few days - he hasn't become ill yet!!

You can put aloe vera gel on her nose and aloe juice in her food - it will help cool, soothe and heal the skin. Get it from a health food shop - especially the gel as it will be additive, clouring free etc - so it won't do any harm when it gets licked off!!
