My horse will not work on a Sunday. Yeah yeah, laugh it up, but I'm serious! Monday to Saturday he's fine, but Sunday? No way hose!

Last Saturday, for instance, I got on him for the first time after he'd been off work for 3 months. He was a little angel - you wouldn't have believed he'd had even a day off, let alone 3 months. So I get on again the next day (Sunday!), and we have mini broncing, lots of sideways, and canter when we're supposed to be trotting/walking/standing still.

So, he chills out in the field for a week, and I get on again this Sat just gone. He's a star - I get some good work out of him, and he even starts to remember that he's a horse, not a giraffe. So on I get again yesterday, and WAHAY!!! Its Funday!!! As soon as my weight's in the stirrup, with a buck and a squeal, we're off! Spend most of the schooling session broncing, running backwards, broncing backwards and cantering.

This is not a new thing, btw, I've long since observed that I can get no sense out of this horse on a Sunday.

So I suppose my question is this: WTF?!?!

Could my horse be religious? But I'm pretty sure God said Sunday's a day of REST, not BRONCING. Thoughts??

Oh go on! Someone must have some ideas?! Maybe I could trick him into thinking Monday is Sunday... but how?? We're supposed to be doing BE next year - I'm going to have to avoid events run on a Sunday at this rate!

if my boy has a week or so off he's good as gold the first time he's ridded but the day after, forget it. MAN, that horse can buck!!!! he he

Hehe :D
Its def only Sundays mine objects to, though. He always ar$ed around on Sundays even when he was worked every day. He's very odd!
