Over the hill and far awa
I had just put the youngsters haylage out when my phone (which I had just managed to wipe the mud off, from it falling out of my pocket!) rang. Sister was down in the village, going for breakfast with her OH, there was a loose horse out on the road, bombing up and down! Sister had high heels on, so not just able to do much with over excited horse. Leapt in the car, with halter and bucket, then leapt out again as the two year old cob nearly took the front of the stable out fighting with her neighbour
Rushed the youngsters out then leapt back into the car. Arrived at the loose horse, to find sister stopping traffic, the owner of the horse/land was out and on this 'quiet' country road idiots were speeding past. Horse came straight to the bucket, put its head in the halter, owners dauughter and son IL turned up, took horse away to put it in a stable, although they were not sure it was theirs! So rather than listening to the Archers this morning, I was living it
